King John

This bold new staging reexamines one of Shakespeare’s most politically charged and rarely produced histories, exploring power, legacy, nationalism, and the human cost of political ambition.

Featuring…
Reji Simon, Kseniya Janyan, Courtney Feiler, Matthew Benenson Cruz, Aleena Azhar, Victoria Angelina Cruz, Alexander Coronado, Sabine Wan, and Alejandra Tamez, and understudies Ethan Perry, Dontaye Albert, Haven Sifuentes-Denson, Amir Smith, and Aly Easton.

Often overlooked in the Shakespeare canon, King John offers an unsettlingly timely portrait of political instability, disputed leadership, and the weaponization of truth.

SHAKESPEARE GYM

We are excited to invite you to our Shakespeare Gym—a space where actors of all levels come together to explore, refine, and take ownership of their work with Shakespeare. Whether you're preparing for an audition, tackling a new monologue, or diving into a first read, this is an excellent opportunity to hone your craft and receive the feedback you want in a supportive environment.

What to Expect:

  • Text Work: Bring a Shakespearean monologue or scene of your choice and dive into the process.

  • Collaborative Environment: Share your piece while engaging in a dynamic, creative atmosphere with fellow actors. All conducted by a facilitator.

  • Take Ownership of Your Process: You choose the feedback you want. This is NOT a one size fits all. Wherever you are in the work is the best place to be. The facilitator will help guide the conversation and contributions so they’re constructive for YOU.
